Interactions
Interspecific: The Sargasso Sea is one example of an interspecific interaction between brown algae and other organisms. Sargassum is one of the most invasive algae, and in the Sargasso Sea, it is completely dominant and other organisms in the water such as fish and crab and shrimp adapt in according to the Sargassum because of the abundance of it. Some fish even acquire camouflage the color of the algae because it helps to hide, and many others use it as a food source.
